Try For Flight Shots

A cold early Sunday morning, and I'm sitting in a shed with camo and a flask of tea. Why do we do it when everyone else is tucked up in warm houses, we are out in nature waiting for that one shot or maybe a couple of shots. Is it that excitement when it happens or just doing something we love and enjoying nature at the same time. Covid has meant photographing at home, different and new challenges. My local resident Blue Tits have been photographed every which way possible in the last few weeks. So today I’m trying flight shots. The Sony A7RIV has some great tracking options, I'm yet to try them on larger birds once lockdown is lifted. Tring to track fast moving birds in tree branches is taxing for the AF system. Lock-on acquired it easily, but as these blue bullets of fluff started flying around, then I found the tracking still locked on to an empty branch and the viewfinder empty. Dame they are fast.
