Warnham Local Nature Reserve never fails to provide fascinating wildlife encounters, and the visit on 25th October 2025 was full of variety and action. The morning began quietly, with a Blue Tit flitting through the branches, before the calm was broken by a Buzzard being chased by a determined Crow. Over the water, four Common Teal took flight, while a Coot paddled steadily along the surface. A Cormorant soared with wings outstretched, and a juvenile Eurasian Goshawk was spotted high in the sky. Along the banks, Eurasian Wigeon, Great Tit, Greenfinch, and a Mallard Duck went about their day, each displaying their subtle beauty. Encounters like this are rare enough, but to have one so close — perfectly lit, suspended above the water — was an unforgettable moment.      Link - Website Blog With More Images On 12th October 2025, I spent a few peaceful hours at Warnham Local Nature Reserve, one of my favourite locations for wildlife photography here in the UK. During the visit, I was lucky enough to witness – and photograph – one of Britain’s most iconic birds in action: the Kingfisher. Watching a Kingfisher hunt is always a special moment. Their speed, precision, and bold colours make them a joy to photograph. This particular bird put on a fantastic display, diving with incredible accuracy and emerging triumphantly with a fish in its beak. It’s one of those scenes that reminds me why I love wildlife photography so much. Below are a few of the shots I captured during the session.
