On 26th July 2025, I spent a peaceful morning at Warnham Local Nature Reserve, one of my favourite places to capture the beauty of British wildlife. During my visit, I was treated to a special sight — a family of Little Grebe chicks exploring the water with their parents. πŸ£πŸ’›

Watching these tiny chicks navigate their watery world is always a joy. Their playful movements and constant curiosity show just how full of life these small birds are. The Little Grebe, sometimes known as the Dabchick, may be small, but it’s incredibly agile — diving beneath the surface in search of food and popping back up with effortless grace.

Moments like these remind me why I love spending time at Warnham. The reserve is full of surprises; no two visits are ever the same. Whether it’s the call of a kingfisher, the quiet rustle of reeds, or the sight of young grebes learning to swim, nature never fails to inspire. πŸŒΏπŸ’¦

If you ever visit Warnham Local Nature Reserve, keep an eye out for the ponds and quiet corners — you might just spot a Little Grebe family of your own!
